I thought the rapture happened. So I made music.
Spring 2020. Everyone left campus for spring break and never came back. The dorms went dark, the dining hall shut, and the quad was empty. For a minute I honestly thought the rapture had happened and I was the last one left.
I was one semester away from graduating. Instead of waiting for the world to restart, I opened a DAW and taught myself everything: production, mixing, sound design, DJing. No classes, no mentors, just the internet and a lot of late nights.
coviddropout is what came out of that. It's a label for self-taught artists who made something out of the end of the world, and it covers dubstep, EDM, rap, pop and everything between.
